SIGNIFICANTLY STRONG EXPRESSION OF STAT6 AND SSTR2A IN DIFFERENTIATE THE SOLITARY FIBROUS TUMOR / HEMANGIOPERICYTOMA (SFT/HPC) AND MENINGIOMA

Background: Solitary fibrous tumor / hemangiopericytoma (SFT HPC) and fibroblastic types of meningioma have similarities that is difficult to distinguish based on histology. Immunohistochemistry STAT6 SSTR2A are definitive biomarkers in both tumors. Inversion-mediated fusions between two genes, NAB2 STAT6, were detected SFT HPC inducES proliferation cells. The somatostatin receptor (SSTR) 2 located chromosome 17q25.1 which expressed diffusely meningiomas.
 Objective: This study aimed determine the expression SFT/HPC Methods: An analytical observational with consecutive sampling 64 samples diagnosed meningioma. Samples divided into 3 groups, group 1 consisted grade I meningoma, II III solitary tumor/Hemangiopericytoma (SFT/HPC).
 Results: Based Mann Withney comparative test, expressions showed significant differences 3, as well (P < 0.05). also 0.05).
 Conclusion: strongly meningioma.
